Home-builders group lays off 18 staff as sector struggles

Housing still has not recovered from 2008 bust as economy remains weak; NAHB running in the red as revenues plummet The National Association of Home Builders laid off 18 employees Wednesday, according to an employee who asked to remain anonymous. The employee told CEO Update that more layoffs are possible next week as the board votes on the association’s 2012 budget during the International Builders Show in Orlando Feb. 8-11.
